Dem Lichte nach...
The design of this architectural space aims to foster a deep connection between visitors and nature by guiding them through an experiential journey. By entering from a descending path, visitors transition into a filtered, darkened space that sharpens their senses and highlights the enormity of the surrounding landscape. Moving through the building, the contrast between light and space continues to emphasize the smallness of humanity in comparison to nature's power. The utilization of black basalt, a volcanic stone sourced from the area, for the building's exterior and interior creates a harmonious link between the architecture and the natural environment. This intentional design encourages visitors to immerse themselves in the space, appreciate the wonders of nature, and perceive their own smallness within it, ultimately fostering a unique and profound experience of the landscape.
